Hyatt Hotel heads meet with UMMC to discuss apartment hotel

Thomas Pritzker and Mark Hoplamazian, the heads of Hyatt Hotels, met with Iskander Makhmudov and Andrei Kozitsyn of UMMC Holding on Tuesday to discuss the opening of an apartment hotel in Yekaterinburg.

The project would take over the multi-purpose Iset Tower, currently being erected by UMMC's Yekaterinburg City, Ural Business Consulting reports.

"We hope to be able jointly to go through with this apartment hotel project in Yekaterinburg's Iset Tower," Kozitsyn, the director-general of UMMC, said, according to Ural Business Consulting. "This is going to be done in a format that will differ somewhat from what we have now, the details have yet to be gone over, but, if this does work out, this is going to be a new turn in the development of hotel business in the Urals."

The apartment hotel project would take up six floors of the Iset Tower.
