Regional EBEC Baltic engineering competition to be held at UrFU

Ural Federal University will host the regional portion of the EBEC Baltic 2014 engineering competition this spring from May 27-31.

The four-day event is the largest real-time based engineering competition conducted by the Board of European Students of Technology (BEST), bringing together more than 50 of the top engineering students from Russia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Ural Federal University has two teams competing in the competition: Electric 4, which won the case study portion of a local competition, and Puss Violating the Paradoxes of Time, which won the team design portion of the first competition.

The winner of the regional competition will advance to the finals in Riga, Latvia, from Aug. 1-9.
