UrFU invites students to participate in UMNIK innovation contest

Ural Federal University announced recently that it will host UMNIK 2013, a regional competition of innovative projects open to undergraduate and graduate students of the university.

Any current science or technology student of UrFU between the ages of 18 and 28 are encouraged to compete in the areas of information technology, medicine, advanced materials, development technologies, equipment and hardware systems and biotechnology.

Projects submitted will be judged on their originality, relevance to today's global needs, technical significance and commercial viaibility.

Projects must be submitted by email by Oct. 15 and must be accompanied by an online application form from UrFU's online Innovation Center. Final judging will take place at the end of October at UrFU.
