UrFU hosts convention on modernization of society

Ural Federal University hosted a convention on the modernization of society and multiple modernity on Tuesday as part of its regular Life Long Learning conference.

The event offered a roundtable and plenary lectures on the problems of modern society and the education system in the context of lifelong learning.

Director Maksim Borisovich said that education is continuous and endless, adding that when speaking about modernity, one should ask how education can be updated.

The meeting involved foreign guests who shared the models of continuing education in their home countries.

The event also included a roundtable on men and women in society, which raised issues of the perception of women in historical and modern times. Participants discussed the ever-changing image of women in history.

Also discussed at the conference were issues of safety, migration and the image of man in modern times.
