FC Ural arrives in Turkey for training

The FC Ural soccer team arrived in the Turkish city of Antalya earlier this month to attend the year's first training camp for the upcoming season.

The team is scheduled to remain in Turkey until January 20, where it will play two test matches. The first match against Ukraine's Vorksloy will occur January 15. On January 19, the team will face off against the Azerbaijani Karabakh, according to Ekburg.ru.

Joining FC Ural at the training camp are new midfielders Maxim Astafiev and Constantine Skrylnikov. Skrylnikov is expected to sign his contract with Ural soon.

Additionally, four backup players are training with the team while in Turkey. Simon Helps, Arsene Omarbekov, Alexey Gerasimov and Ilmir Shamov will be ready to take the field if needed.

FC Ural head coach Pavel Gusev described the training as being held twice a day, with a focus on "restoring physical condition of players after the holidays". Gusev has been working with the players on both technique and physical conditioning, reports Ekburg.ru.
