U.S. Special Representative Reta Jo Lewis to visit Yekaterinburg

Reta Jo Lewis, the United States special representative for global intergovernmental affairs, is visiingt Russia to promote subnational cooperation.

Special Representative Lewis is visiting several Russian cities and oblasts, with stops in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok, the U.S. Department of State reports.

Special Representatives Lewis will meet with federal and local government officials while she is in Russia, and she will meet with leaders from the Russian business and academic communities to discuss their interest in developing U.S.-Russia partnerships on the municipal and state level.

This will mark Special Representative Lewis' first visit to Russia. She has led diverse initiatives promoting global engagement with state and local leaders in Brazil, China, India and South Africa.
