Robbery at the Yekaterinburg Savings Bank branch foiled

A Yekaterinburg resident attempted an armed robbery at the city's Savings Bank branch on Thursday, April 5.

The robber entered the bank just after opening, held two female tellers at gunpoint and demanded money, reports.

The robber, who wore gloves but no mask, was arrested soon after entering the bank after the tellers pressed the bank's panic button, which alerted the police to the robbery.
