Alexander Sinev discusses Russia’s most serious problems

Alexander Sinev, chairman of the Expert Committee of the Council of the Ural Chamber of Commerce for business security and anti-corruption, recently visited the NGO Citizens of Russia – for the law (STORM) and discussed the most serious problems facing Russia today.

At the talk, he explained what he sees at the most difficult dilemmas in Russia and how to face the current crisis.

“Our team of experts working in the field of law enforcement,” Sinev said. “The objects of this field are Russian citizens, business entities, citizens and business relationships with the government. Many people somehow believe that these relations are regulated separately. However, it is not. We now pass such laws, which impose obligations primarily on the population. We, of course, ask the question: where is the responsibility of business and municipal authorities to citizens? According to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the only source of power and sovereignty in Russia is the Russian people, who exercise their power directly and through bodies of state power and local self-government. However, often it turns out that the power of the people ends immediately after the election! But highly skilled professionals working in 'The Storm,' know how to apply the law and how to control its execution. Our activities, findings and conclusions are confirmed by the courts, including the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. Now, these courts have already merged. We are engaged in legal practice and some signs of corruption in the energy sector, the public sector, in the management of the property, including in the management of privatized property, etc.”
