Krasnouralsk residents relocated to better housing

Dozens of residents living in substandard housing in Krasnouralsk recently were relocated to new apartments, the Sverdlovsk regional government said.

The two building contain 30 apartments that can house 106 residents. Located on University street, the building was built as part of a resettlement program to give citizens living in bad conditions comfortable, affordable housing, as outlined in a recent decree.

The cost of building the apartments totaled over $1 million. Over half of this came from the regional budget. The remaining amount was taken from the municipal budget.

The City of Krasnouralsk recently commissioned the apartments.

The Sverdlovsk region’s governor, Eugene Kuyvashev, said he and other regional leaders look forward to further implementing the plans to fulfill the federal decree.
