Skolkovo Foundation's biomed startups to help fight cancer

The Skolkovo Foundation recently decided to help the oncological community fight cancer through its biomedical start-ups.

Kirill Kaem, vice president and executive director of the biomed cluster at Skolkovo, recently agreed to place the Skolkovo biomedical startups at the oncological community’s disposal. There are at least 60 Skolkovo biomedical clusters (out of 260 biomedical startups) involved in the agreement with the Russian Society of Clinical Oncology (RUSSCO).

RUSSCO agreed to inform Skolkovo about any medical developments or breakthroughs, as well as invest in the foundation’s innovative biomedical projects.

“Our cooperation with the Russian Society of Oncology has already yielded many interesting projects and initiatives, such as the annual OncoBioMed event,” Kaem said. “We are planning to strengthen our ties further and support innovations that help in the fight against oncological diseases,” Kaem said. At least 60 of the biomed cluster's 260 startups are involved in oncology in one way or another.
