UBRD's ATM network surpasses 21,000 units

The Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UBRD) recently announced that it has surpassed 21,000 units, thanks to its collaborative partnership with a substantial network of ATMs.

This figure shows that there are now over 21,000 ATM units, with which customers can access their UBRD accounts, while using other banking networks that are scattered throughout Russia.

In 2014, UBRD partnered with VTB, VTB 24, Bank of Moscow, Gazprombank, Summer Bank and NGO United Settlement System (ODP), among others, to create an ATM network across the region.

This collaboration helps lessen the chances of cards being interrupted if the Visa and MasterCard companies cease to allow service to banks in Russia.

Four years ago, there were only 334 units in the ATM network throughout Russia. In 2014, UBRD had only 88 ATM machines in its ATM network. The bank had expanded its offerings to 1,239 ATM units by January 1, 2015.

The largest concentration of ATM units are located within the Sverdlovsk, Sverdlovsk, Kirov and Ural regions, as well as in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
