Uralchem Riga terminal shipped 2 million tons of fertilizer since December 2013

Uralchem recently announced that its fertilizer terminal in Riga, Latvia, has shipped 2 million tons of fertilizer since opening in December 2013.

Of the 106 fertilizer shipments made on the vessel Yuilia, which sails from Latvia to Chile in South America, 2 million tons of the  shipments were Uralchem Kirovo-Chepetsk – KCCW MFP ammonium nitrate fertilizer.

In July 2014, the terminal broke a record by shipping 11 vessels with 250,000 tons of products.

The terminal has the capacity to ship 580,000 tons of materials in just two to four days. In 2014, it shipped 1.71 million tons of materials.

The terminal’s transshipment method ensures the safety of supplies without compromising on Uralchem's strategic and logistics plans. Uralchem controls the supply chain in order to guarantee that the products reach their final destinations. Uralchem’s control also decreases the cost of transportation.
