Television series to commemorate WWII anniversary

Gazprom Transgaz Ekaterinburg recently announced the airing of a TV series dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Russia's victory in World War II.

The educational series highlights the key events beginning Jan. 28, 1945, and culminating with Russia’s victory on May 9, 1945.

Each episode of the series will show two or three crucial points that led to Russia’s victory in the Great Patriotic War. The series will present the events in chronological order, using photographs from the war years to illustrate the narrative.

Each day for 100 days, between Jan. 28 and May 9, the show will be aired on public television. Broadcasting company OTV and the administration of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region collaborated to create the joint project.
