URFU signs pact after visit to 6 Chinese universities

Officials from Ural Federal University (URFU) recently agreed to cooperate with the University of Inner Mongolia to produce joint scientific projects.

In preparation for these discussions, leading scientists from different branches of URFU traveled to China.

The URFU officials gained long-term contacts at six different universities in regions throughout China. Three of the universities are members of the Association of Technical Universities of Russia and China (ATURK).

When the visit ended, the officials signed the agreement. The Russian representatives’ goal is to continue to develop the contacts and joint projects that were agreed upon between URFU and the other universities.

Students will gain many benefits from this agreement, including the ability to more easily study abroad at the six Chinese universities.

Staff at the Russian-Chinese Foundation for Cultural Development and Education assisted the scientists in establishing contact and organizing meetings with university, government and industry leaders in China.
