The Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UBRD) recently expanded its online sales services to include marketing emails.
UBRD signed a contract with Emarsys, an international company that provides professional marketing services, in October 2014. UBRD is now able to email information to current and potential customers, including details about services, products and sales.
The bank can also use the service to contact customers about the statuses of their online applications.
URBD analysts sid 24 percent of recipients read the bank's emails in the fourth quarter of 2014.
The analysts will use the information gained from these marketing strategies to further improve their sales approaches.
So far, the URBD has gained more than $67 billion in its Internet deposits thanks to the new services.
