TMK releases operating results from Q4 2014

TMK, a pipe metallurgical company and one of the largest pipe suppliers to gas and oil industries around the world, recently released the company’s operating results from the fourth quarter of 2014.

The overall Russian pipe market improved by 9 percent in 2014. TMK has maintained its leading position among the other companies involved in Russia’s pipe industry.

TMK shipped a total volume of 4.4 million tons of pipes in 2014 alone.

The company’s shipment volume, which amounts to 1.2 million tons for 2014, also increased by 10.4 percent.

TMK supplied customers with 4.4 million tons of steel pipes in 2014. This statistic is 1.5 percent more than the figure from 2013.

In 2014, TMK shipped 2.5 million tons of seamless pipes, which was 3.8 percent more than the previous year. The overall shipment of seamless pipes in 2014’s fourth quarter was 11.5 percent more than the seamless pipe shipments of 2013’s fourth quarter (693,000 tons).

The company’s overall shipments of welded pipes decreased in 2014. TMK only shipped 1.8 million tons. This is 1.5 percent less than it delivered in 2013. Experts attribute this to a decreased need for welded pipes in construction of industrial pipelines. In contrast, 2014’s fourth quarter shows that shipments of welded pipes increased by 8.9 percent compared to the third quarter, when the company sold 525,000 tons of welded pipes.

TMK shipped 1.9 million tons of OCTG pipes in 2014, amounting to 5.5 percent more than the company sold in 2013.

In 2014, the company gained 15.2 percent more in shipping premium connections than it had it 2013; TMK delivered 892,000 units. This breaks down to 243,000 pieces in 2014’s fourth quarter.
