SDI Research won a $384,000 (21.8 million ruble) grant on Tuesday from the Skolkovo Foundation to create a consolidation system for companies with large amounts of data spread out.
The grant will fund half the project. Private investors will pay for the second half of the development, which has a total cost of 43.6 million rubles, or roughly $750,000.
SDI, a division of SDI Solutions, is part of the information technology cluster in the Kloskovo Innovation Center. SDI focuses on master data management for financial and retail customers.
The company has received three large orders for data management systems, SDI Research General Director in Skolkovo Andrei Andrichenko said.
SDI Research’s product helps optimize operating processes at engineering holdings and helps cut spending on collating and storing reference data, Skolkovo Foundation Vice President and Director of the IT cluster Igor Bogachev said.
“It also lowers costs associated with accountancy and cuts the time needed to take a product to market," Bogachev said. "In short, it makes engineering holdings more competitive.”
