Ural State Mining University recently opened registration for the comprehensive exams for migrants.
The exams test migrants’ knowledge of Russian history, Russian language and the fundamentals of Russian Federation legislation.
Ural State Mining University provides multiple courses to prepare migrants for the comprehensive exams, which are prerequisites for migrants to receive patents, work permits, residence permits or temporary residence permits. Migrants must pass these exams to receive the benefits of Russian citizenship.
Tests begin in January 2015. The last test is scheduled for March 2015.
Government officials have not yet decided on a fixed price for the exam, but they estimate that the exam will cost approximately $88.
Migrants should check the test website (www.testcons.ru) to learn what materials they should bring to the exams.
