Three musicians from the Sverdlovsk State Academic Theater of the Musical Comedy recently have been awarded the honorary title of the Honored Artist of the Republic of Crimea.
The award was announced when Arina Novoselskaya, the minister of culture of the Republic of Crimea, paid an official visit to the Urals region. There, at a press conference, Novoseleskaya proclaimed that Maria Vinenkova, Ignor Ladeyshikov and Eugene Tolstov have been chosen to receive the awards.
The trio of soloists have been most recognized for their Sverdlovsk Musical Comedy tour during the fall season of 2014.
Officials will organize formalities before the actors receive their awards in 2015.
"This [recognition] proves that the young artists are now able to keep the brand and follow the traditions that were laid out in the theater 80 years ago,” Igor Leyfel, deputy general director of the Sverdlovsk Musical Comedy, said.
