Cities had to go through a number of calculations to determine their placements.
Statisticians analyzed data from many different cities in Russia at the end of each quarter in 2014. They calculated the weighted average for the cost of a car and an apartment.
They used a portal system called Avito to rank the 155 Russian cities with populations that exceeded 100,000.
Top ranked cities were Moscow at No. 1 followed by St. Petersburg and Surgut.
