Sergey Skuratov, the general director of Ural Airlines, recently was named Russia's Entrepreneur of the Year in the Transport category as part of the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year competition.
Open to business experts and leaders, the international competition is one of the most elite and renowned contest for entrepreneurs. More than 60 countries participate in the event, which has been sponsored by Ernst & Young for the past 15 years.
At the local level, the jury rated the Russian entrepreneurs using a multilevel analysis system, which included public participation, questionnaires, meetings and interviews.
In addition to his work with Ural Airlines, Skuratov is on the board of directors at OJSC Ural Transport Bank.
Skuratov were recognized at an awards ceremony on Tuesday in Moscow's Izvestia Hall.
He will move on to the World Entrepreneur of the Year competition, which will be held June 3-7, 2015 in Monte Carlo.
