The Ural Bank of Reconstruction and Development (UBRD) is providing financing to ProektStroi developers to build new housing for soldiers in the closed city of Ozersk.
The housing will cover approximately 12 miles of land and will include the apartments at md. Zaozerny, Building 18.
Developers said the project will create a better support system for Russian soldiers while they serve their country as well as benefit the local community and economy.
The soldiers will receive more than 500 certificates for their housing loans. By 2016, officials say soldiers living in Ozersk will be active contributors to the savings and mortgage systems.
As part of the financing, UBRD gave ProektStroi construction a credit limit topping out at more than $6 million.
Despite some previous difficulties in moving the project forward, Ozersk’s local government is now making the construction project a top priority.
