Skolkovo Institute reaches exchange deal with Aalto University

An agreement has been reached between the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and Aalto University in Finland to have students engage in a foreign exchange program, the Skolkovo Foundation said Wednesday.
At the startup conference Slush, representatives from both institutions agreed to the program. Both institutions focus on innovation in instruction and research.
“We’ve agreed to do short student exchanges of their master’s students with ours,” Skoltech Vice President Alexei Sitnikov said. “We have also reached an agreement to send a group from Skoltech to Aalto University in order to better understand the work of the university, which is very similar to ours by its organizational structure.”
In addition to students participating in the exchange program, the two institutions would also exchange assessment methods and innovative learning activities. Both institutions had delegates at Slush, which brings innovators, investors and media together in one of Europe's largest conferences.
Skoltech is an educational division within the Skolkovo project, which aims to refocus the region's economy.
