Ural Federal University (UrFU) and Fudan University in China recently agreed to work together to develop joint research forums.
University officials signed the cooperation documents at the International Innovation Forum Pudzyan in China.
As part of the agreement, students and teachers from both countries will be able to exchange ideas through instructional literature and training programs, and ultimately receive double majors and participate in international exchange programs.
Also at the forum, representatives from the Scientific Center of Tsinghua University at Shenzhen agreed to begin talks with Russian universities to collaborate on science and innovation.
At the same time as the forum in China, a Russian delegation led by Vice Premier Arkady Dvorkovich, made a similar agreement with Israel during a meeting in Tel Aviv.
Israel has agreed to participate in INNOPROM 2015, Russia's leading industrial trade fair, to be held at Ural Federal University from July 8-11.
