Portions of "Slice," a film by students at the Ural Federal University (UrFU) and Yekaterinburg Academy of Contemporary Art, were shown to journalists on Friday.
The film focuses on the role of art in cities and regions, as well as individual lives.
“The film combines the views of different groups of people, from museum visitors to specialists,” the students said in a press release. “From the cutoff opinions, perceptions shaped the image of modern art, open relationships, past and present, high and profane. They provide food for thought... ."
The film excerpt was shown at UrFU's first academic building. Attendees were also be able to speak with the students behind the film’s creation.
Also on Friday, there was an art presentation and discussion. The topic was the Court Loft Project, “House of the Press."
Part of the third Ural Industrial Biennale’s educational program, the full film will debut in 2015.
