Aelita unveils new anesthetic machine, touts boost in potency

A new anesthetic machine, the Anekom, has made it to market from Aelita, based out of Skolkovo, the Skolkovo Foundation reported Thursday.

The machine utilizes anesthetic that is inhaled by patients with a ventilation system to ensure proper oxygen levels. The machine emerged from the human testing phase with no hiccups. The procedures usually involved when using this product are mostly tied to the pulmonary system.

“The big advantage of this machine over traditional equipment is the injection method of analgesic dosage, which significantly lowers the amount spent on expensive anesthetic drugs, as well as increasing the dosage accuracy,” Drs. Valery Sandrikov and Viktor Mizikov said in a joint statement.

In the past, the liquid analgesic was vaporized into a gas form, losing potency. The Anekom utilizes the full liquid dosage to ensure patients are successfully unconscious during their surgeries.
