Ekaterinburg ranked fifth in analysis of 100 biggest Russian cities' livability

The Oblastnya Gazeta has reported that Ekaterinburg was ranked fifth out of Russia's 100 most populous cities in quality of life using quality-of-life and cost-of-living criteria.

The ranking takes into consideration urban environments, housing supply per capita, road congestion and conditions, crime rates, external transportation, urban development and levels of pollution. The cost-of-living criteria included purchasing power needed to buy a home or rent a studio apartment and pay utility bills.

Moscow ranked 25th and St. Petersburg 20th on the publication's list.
