Fast & Furious dance team places third in international competition

Ural Federal University's national hip-hop dance team, Fast & Furious, placed third in Hip-hop Unite, a world championship competition that ended Sunday.

The competition, which was held in Prague, brought together teams from Russia, South Africa, Morocco, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Holland, France, Italy and Australia.

Team coach Alexander Starkov commented on the ever-expanding nature of the competition. He said that it has grown from year to year, and it has kept a friendly and accepting atmosphere.

To celebrate their win, the team is putting on a major performance to honor the team's seventh year on Nov. 14 at the main University of Peace building in Yekaterinburg.

New members of the team will be announced Nov. 19 after a set of auditions.
