UrFU meets with Chinese schools to discuss educational cooperation

During a meeting between representatives from Ural Federal University and several Chinese educational institutions last week, both sides agreed to pursue partnerships to increase Chinese enrollment at UrFU.

The meeting was attended by UrFU Rector Dmitriy Bougrov, members of the UrFU Alumni Association, Deputy Director General of the Chinese Association of Graduates Jing Jiang and other Chinese education representatives.

"We are grateful to the university for the quality of educational services," Chinese Association of Graduates representative Jia Mencius said. "The general secretary of the China Association of graduates of the Soviet Union and the CIS countries plays an important role in our organization."

Currently, 160 full-time Chinese undergraduate students are enrolled UrFU via 15 cooperative agreements with Chinese educational and scientific organizations.
