UrFU's climbing team takes first in sports union championships

Ural Federal University's climbing team took first place in the Russian Student Sports Union climbing championships held earlier this month in Yekaterinburg.

The UrFU team, comprised of seven undergraduate students and led by Maria Bogdanova, received top place in the championship's team categories, with Bogdanova taking first in individual climbing. Teammate Anastasia Samoylin received first place in the championship's bouldering event.

Alexander Golovin, another member of UrFU's climbing team, won third place in the speed climbing event.

Last month, UrFU's climbing team won the Universiade competition, defeating all other universities within the Sverdlovsk region.
