Yekaterinburg accepting bids on FIFA design, survey work in Mayakovsky Park

Leonid Rapoport, the Sverdlovsk region's minister of physical culture, sports and youth policy, said during a Wednesday meeting that Yekaterinburg is currently accepting bids for design and survey work to prepare for upcoming FIFA 2018 festivities in Mayakovsky Park.

Valentin Gripas, the vice premier of the Sverdlovsk government, chaired the meeting, Ural Business Consulting reports.

"It is already clear that most of the jobs will have to do with improvements in the park," Gripas said, according to Ural Business Consulting. "I have asked the local Energy and Communal Housing Services Ministry and the Ministry for Construction & Infrastructure to come up with their proposals on the subject. We promise to make the supporters' festival a great event, this is why it is essential for all the organizations involved to cooperate efficiently."
