Yekaterinburg table tennis team defeated by Moscow in national championship

Yekaterinburg's table tennis team was defeated by Moscow in the Russian National Table Tennis Championship held on Tuesday.

Moscow's Olga Baranova won top prize in the championship, edging out Yekaterinburg UMMC player Alexander Shibaev, who placed second, Oblastnaya Gazeta reports.

Grigory Vlasov and partner Jan Noskova of the Nizhny Novgorod region placed second in the nixed doubles set, while the Sverdlovsk men's team took second place in the men's competition event.

Ultimately, athletes from Moscow claimed top prizes in both men and women's team competitions, according to Oblastnaya Gazeta.
