Yekaterinburg hosts conference on robotics in education

Last week, Yekaterinburg hosted the two-day International Scientific and Practical Conference, which covered the introduction of robotics in education and other topics.

Additional discussions at the event pertained to intellectual and creative competitions, scientific and technical projects and presentations on the topic of information and communication technologies used in the education of younger generations, Oblastnaya Gazeta reports.

The event was geared toward not only secondary schools, but pre-school institutions, as well. Event attendees included American professors Mitch Resnick and Morgan Hines,

Children were able to participate in 15 sites at the conference where they could learn about the basics of the robotics industry and how it will influence the future, according to Oblastnaya Gazeta.
