UrFU offers Vladimir Potanin grants to graduate teachers

The deadline for Ural Federal University graduate teachers to apply for the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation grant is on April 1.

Graduate teachers from UrFU are eligible for the grant, along with teachers from 74 leading universities in Russia.

The grant will be given to teachers who present the best practices and facilitation along with the creation of new programs and courses.

Larisa Zelkova, the general director of the Vladimir Potanin Charity Fund, said the group is looking for high academic achievement among participants along with superior teaching experience and professionalism. Judges will evaluate applicants on innovation, sustainability and relevance in the university environment.

Grants will be provided to teachers in the areas of a new master program, new curriculum under the current master's program, development of distance learning courses for graduate students and new teaching methods and developments of undergraduates in specific skills.
