UrFU receives award for university development program

Last week, Ural Federal University received the International Project Management Association's highest award for its university development program.

"Creation of a federal university means that the two leading Ural educational institutions have moved to a new level: in education, science and culture," Russian IPMA Vice President Alexander Tovb said. "This process is reflected in the UrFU University Development Program and is perfectly realized."

UrFU's program scored highest among other award finalists, coming in ahead of programs from the Ural Bank of Reconstruction, Russian Railways and the Moscow Department of Information Technologies.

"Taking part in this contest enabled us to know our strengths better, and what is even more important, our weaknesses [and] see the spheres of further development," UrFU University Development Program Officer Anna Zorina said. "Now the best of our experience will become the basis for realizing the international competitiveness enhancement program."
