UrFU sports professor wins Siberian Marathon in Omsk

Ural Federal University sports and fitness professor Nicholas Ulitin won the Siberian International Marathon held last month in Omsk.

Ulitin competed against athletes from 14 countries before receiving the best score in the 65-and-older age category, with a time of 03:31:06. Overall, Ulitin finished in 130th place.

The Siberian International Marathon is the only race in Russia to receive the International Federation of Athletics Bronze Life designation, which requires all competitors to pass a mandatory drug test. The Bronze Life designation further requires member marathons to include members of foreign nations in the race.
