Koltsovo Airport offers discounted opera tickets to Perm travelers

Yekaterinburg's Koltsovo Airport recently offered passengers flying to Perm a 50 percent discount on tickets to the premiere of Henry Purcell's "Queen of the Indians."

The project was a collaboration between the Perm Opera and Ballet, Madrid's Teatro Real and the English National Opera in London. Performances were held late last month and earlier this week.

The opera was directed by conductor Theodore Currentzis and renowned theater director Peter Sellars. International opera stars and soloists of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater starred in the main roles.

Rusline Airline recently added additional flights from Moscow to Perm. Flights between Yekaterinburg and Perm occur 10 times a week.
