Yekaterinburg to hold "Best Precinct" contest in October

Yekaterinburg's Department of the Interior will hold a contest for the best precinct in October in honor of the 70th anniversary of the city's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the 90th anniversary of the service of district commissioners.

The contest will choose the best precinct based on a variety of indicators. Last year, the process of selecting the best precinct was attended by approximately 100,000 people. The contest acts as a feedback system between law enforcement agencies and the public, which contributes to the improvement of the precinct, according to Ekburg.ru.

Citizens can vote for the best precinct from Oct. 1 to Nov. 1, and results will be announced in November.
