UrFU commemorates 100th birthday of longtime chemistry faculty member

Ural Federal University held a celebration last week in honor of the 100th birthday of scientist Natalia Bednyaginoy, an emeritus member of the university's chemistry faculty.

UrFU First Vice-Rector Anatoly Matern presented Bednyaginoy with an honorary metal on behalf of governor Eugene Kuyvasheva commemorating her service to the Sverdlovsk community.

Bednyaginoy worked for more than 50 years as a professor at UrFU's department of organic chemistry. She holds a doctorate in chemical sciences and is a laureate of the USSR Council of Ministers.
