Team Russia's Ustalova, Tamkova take gold medals in Universiade relay

Ural Federal University athletes Xenia Ustalova and Alain Tamkova each received a gold medal in the 4x400 meter relay event on Friday as part of the 27th Summer Universiade.

Ustalova and Tamkova competed alongside fellow students Nadia Kotlyarova and Catherine Renzhinoy as part of the Russian team in the women's 4x400 relay event. Team Russia had some of the highest scores in the relay, besting students from Team Canada and Team South Africa.

Last Tuesday, Ustalova received a gold medal in the 400 meter solo track event, while Tamkova placed second.
