Professor Anatoly Kalinin of Belarusian State University will hold a six-day lecture from March 13 to March 18 at Ural Federal University's Department of Applied Mathematics.

The lecture series will focus on the applied mathematical theory of optimal control-- a complex series of equations used to calculate the optimal criterion for a number of certainties.

Kalinin will begin his talks on March 13 at 5:40 p.m. with a lecture, with a different to follow each day. The final lecture, "Asymptotically sub-optimal synthesis," will take place on March 18 at noon.
