Yekaterinburg's Competitive College Club visited by U.S. diplomat

On February 21, U.S. Public Affairs Officer Betsy Meyer met with members of Yekaterinburg's Competitive College Club to discuss preparation techniques for standardized tests required for admission into U.S. colleges and universities.

During the meeting at Yekaterinburg's American Center, Meyer quizzed students with sample questions from the SAT and ACT tests. CCC members were provided with full versions of the SAT and ACT practice tests, which were furnished by EducationUSA.

The CCC is comprised of Russian students who meet regularly as they prepare to apply to American universities. Members of the group are coached by speakers from the U.S. consulate in Yekaterinburg, as well as staff members of the American Center and EducationUSA.

Aside from SAT and ACT test preparation assistance, CCC members receive coaching for graduate university examinations, including the GRE, GMAT, LSAT and MCAT.
