Yekaterinburg reveals EXPO2020 bid presentation at World Economic Forum

At Thursday's World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the city of Yekaterinburg presented its bid to host EXPO2020.

If selected to host the international exposition in 2020, Yekaterinburg's exhibition will center on "globalization-related consequences, threats and challenges," Voice of Russia reports.

Officials from Yekaterinburg's EXPO2020 bid committee reported that the municipality and the encompassing Sverdlovsk region are prepared to infuse up to $15 billion dollars into the project, according to Voice of Russia.

Also vying for hosting duties for EXPO2020 are Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Brazil.
