UrFU alumni assist improving competitiveness in university programs

Ural Federal University (UrFU) said on Saturday that the University Alumni Association will assist in improving the competitiveness of UrFU programs.

The alumni met with the university’s board members to discuss various proposals to improve UrFU’s competitive programs between 2015 and 2020. Several of the proposals have already been implemented at UrFU.

The alumni have a serious responsibility in benefiting the university, its students and future generations.

"Certainly, the association must attract potential graduates for the implementation of the road map program to improve competitiveness,” Alumni Association Director Alexander Ponomarev said. “Those universities ...  who can do the job better ... will, in the end, make an important contribution to the achievement of the set goals and achieve serious progress in the competition among the leading Russian universities. The association would do its best to help UrFU fulfill its obligations.”

Founded in 1920, UrFU is the oldest university in the Ural region. It has 5,640 academic staff members and 57,000 students.
