Sverdlovsk Philharmonic to perform with Berezovsky, Buchbinder

The Ural Philharmonic Orchestra will perform alongside Boris Berezovsky and Rudolf Buchbinder this week at the International Trans-Siberian Art Festival, Oblastnaya Gazeta reported.

The orchestra will perform Friday and Saturday in Novosibirsk alongside Buchbinder, a soloist from Yekaterinburg, and on Sunday in Omsk with Berezovsky, a piano virtuoso. The program also includes pieces performed by musicians in the Urals such as Tchaikovsky's “Third Orchestral Suite,” Olga Viktorova's “Azure Dragon of the East” and Edvard Grieg's “Piano Concerto."

"Over the past 15 years, the Ural orchestra made an incredible leap,” Vadim Repin, the artistic director of the International Trans-Siberian Art Festival, said. “Artists are now guests of the best European venues and festivals and our stunning conductor, Dmitry Liss, is one of today's most influential maestros.”
