USAAA highlights architectural, artistic exhibit

Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts (USAAA) recently opened an exhibit, which features the artistic works of undergraduate and graduate students from the department of architectural design at USAAA.

The majority of the artistic projects focus on the problems of forming new kinds of residential and public buildings. They also address various promising sites that have been developing in the floodplain area of the City of Yekaterinburg.

The students’ artistic and architectural works discuss the specific problems facing urban and industrial development in the Sverdlovsk region. They question how the former industrial areas were developed.

The projects also depict how organic inclusion is necessary to the urban environment and other newly developed industrial complexes, which are both fully modern and fully environmentally friendly. Eco-friendly buildings will continue to become a popular solution to the environmental and economic questions that plague many businesses of various industries.

The exhibition is open from now until March 13, 2015.
