The Skolkovo Foundation is accepting applications for pitch sessions for its 2015 Startup Village, the biggest innovations conference in Eastern Europe.
Hundreds of companies will pitch their products to a jury during the June 2-3 event as they try to win prizes of up to $4,000 from a pool of more than $48,000.
Approximately 10,000 participants attended the event last year, and organizers anticipate another 10,000 Russian and international students, investors, scientists, innovators, media representatives and others will attend this year.
“This year we’re expecting a big influx of decent, high-quality projects,” Skolkovo Foundation strategy director
said. “Considering the huge flood of projects last year, we have split into two pavilions the IT contest. We have created a separate contest for space technologies and a separate contest for nuclear technologies. So there will be more projects, they will be more interesting, and the winners will receive more prize money than last year."
