Ural State Economic University (USEU) recently hosted "Project Olympiad," a Business Russia student competition sponsored by the Russian Historical Society.
Russian business history was the main topic in the hourlong competition, the first of its kind. Competitors received participatory certificates and are now awaiting results that will be announced this month in Moscow. The winner will be formally recognized on May 15.
"Project Olympiad on the Russian level was supported by Vladimir Putin,” Business Russia's executive committee head Elena Volkova said. “Thanks to everyone who came and to USEU for hosting the the Olympiad. This project is necessary in order for people to understand that history is created not only by politicians, but also entrepreneurs.
Representatives from higher and secondary vocational schools in Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk collaborated to organize the event.
