According to a recent report from Oblastnaya Gazeta, farmers living in the Sverdlovsk region have received more than $2 million from Russia’s federal treasury to rebuild their agricultural developments.
The funds are part of the 2015 federal budget's allocation to farmers to further develop livestock and crops, and will help farmers rebuild their stock of cattle. Farmers within the Sverdlovsk region say they will use the grant as soon as possible.
The 2015 federal budget dedicates more than $500 million in relief efforts for farmers, including more than $147 million that will be saved in reserves.
