Uralvagonzavod neighborhood watch stops 270 offenses in Nizhniy Tagil

According to a recent report by Ural Business Consulting, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s neighborhood watch aided in the prevention of over 250 Nizhniy Tagil offenses in the past year.

In that time, the team patrolled Nizhniy Tagil’s streets a total of 35 times and, in the process, noted 270 offences. They assisted various law enforcement agencies in the prevention of crimes.

Four members of the neighborhood watch -- Alexander Zadykhin, Mikhail Pozdin, Natalya Kulagina and Zinaida Stepanova -- won honorary certificates from Uralvagonzavod’s director-general. These members worked alongside police officers both to detain a criminal and collect confiscated substances.

Thirteen other team members reported that they received thank-you letters, which have since been attached to their personal records.

“1,253 workers from nearly all of the head plant’s divisions joined the watch over the course of the year,” Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service said. “Their shifts amounted to 2,100 hours altogether, with an average of twenty people per shift. The voluntary police assistants are foremen, engineers, personnel managers, heads of departments, offices, and divisions, economists, technicians, press operators, janitors, adjusters, millers, warehouse clerks, turners, and so on. The team is headed by Uralvagonzavod HR Director Andrei Kopytov.”

Uralvagonzavod’s head plant compiled this data from the neighborhood watch’s performance results.
